What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. On the next page you open, the browser sends it back, which is how a site can tell that two page views came from the same visit. Some cookies are needed for a site to work at all; others, like the analytics ones below, exist only so we can understand how the site is used.
Cookies we cannot do without
These are set because the site would not function correctly without them. They are not used for analytics or advertising, and there is no way to opt out of them while still using the features they support.

Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people find useful, how visitors arrive, and where they give up. It tells us that a page was read; it does not tell us who read it. We do not upload names, email addresses, or the contents of anything you type into a form, and we do not use it to build advertising audiences.

Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC and data may be processed outside Australia. IP addresses are truncated before storage, and Google Signals — the feature that would join your browsing to Google’s advertising profile of you — is switched off for this property.
What we do not do
- No advertising or retargeting cookies. Analytics consent signals for advertising are set to denied for every visitor, in every region.
- No cross-site tracking, and no sale or sharing of visitor data with data brokers.
- No health information is ever sent to an analytics provider. Which pages you read is recorded; nothing you write to us is.
- No cookies on this site are used to identify you personally.
Your choice, and how to change it
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics cookies are switched off until you accept them. Everywhere else — including Australia — analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time using the button below. Declining costs you nothing: every part of this site works the same either way.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all websites.
